Sweden welcomes Malta in a match from Group F of the European qualifications
Sweden welcomes Malta in a match from Group F of the European qualifications. We are about to take a look at this fixture at the Friends Arena in Solna in our predictions football 1×2. Let’s go.
At this moment Sweden are second in the group with 4 points, won from two matches played so far. In their first clash the Scandinavians achieved a 2-1 win over Romania at home, while in their second game they made a dramatic 3-3 draw during the visit to Norway.
It was a really exciting game in Oslo. Norway got a solid two goals lead, thanks to the strikes of Bjorn Johnsen and Joshua King. But Sweden didn’t have the intention to give up. Viktor Claesson made it 2-1, while Norway’s Havard Nordveit scored himself an own goal.
In the 91th minute Sweden made a big step towards the win. Robin Quaison made it 2-3 and it looked like it’s all over. But in the 96th minute Ola Kamara saved Norway from losing, scoring after an assist from the wonderkid Martin Odegaard.
In the same time Malta are 4th in the standings with 3 points won from two matches played. They started their campaign with a 2-1 win over the Faroe Islands at home, but in their second game they suffered a 0-2 defeat against Spain at home. It was nothing surprising, of course. Alvaro Morata scored a brace for La Roja, which was the big favourite for the win in first place.
That’s our predictions football 1×2 for the European qualification between Sweden and Malta from Group F. We won’t surprise you by telling you that Sweden are the huge favourite here. It’d be a very big surprise if the Maltese team win something from this game. But, hey – in football everything is possible, right?
